Extensibility of "Show only specified Control Panel Items"
Can items not listed on the Windows 7 Control Panel canonical display list be whitelisted to be shown via Group Policy? The Microsoft linke at See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ee330741(v=vs.85).aspx does list any control panel items that didn't ship with the OS, but there is no decription of whether this feature is easilty extensible or not. Wishes are to display the Microsoft Systems Center 2007 control panel item ("Configuration Manager (32-bit)") to standard "locked-down" users, yet not give them access to the whole world. This wou Agent control panel item appears under the reqistry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Control Panel\Extended Properties\{305CA226-D286-468e-B848-2B2E8E697B74} 2, Sub key C:\Windows\SysWOW64\CCM\SMSCFGRC.cpl, with a DWORD 5. I've tried adding teh GUID of {305CA226-D286-468e-B848-2B2E8E697B74} into the "Show only specified Control Panel Items" without success. Ideas anyone?
